Time Spent Driving – Just Enough Bright – Review

Time Spent Driving

Just Enough Bright (Sessions)
by Tim Den

As played out as the whole Jimmy Eat World-clone thing is, some bands (like Time Spent Driving) still manage to wring out a decent album from the mold. Sure, the lyrics are the usual drone of broken-hearted poetry on repeat, but there’s enough crushing production (courtesy of the never-disappointing J. Robbins) and clever arpeggios to impress the girl next door. Like all things sugary, Just Bright Enough is probably not the healthiest of musical diets, but it does the job when the craving comes calling.
