Kind Of Like Spitting – Bridges Worth Burning – Review

Kind Of Like Spitting

Bridges Worth Burning (Barsuk)
by Tim Den

Kind Of Like Spitting lay down the acoustic and gouge eyes out with wire-y riffs and passionate shouting. Who knew they had it in ’em? With Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie on drums and backup vocals, Bridges Worth Burning is Braid-meets Alkaline Trio, yelling-so-hard-you-forget-to-breathe kind of indie rock. Sometimes the machine gun fire delivery of the vocals feels rushed (and in turn loses much of the vocal melody’s impact), but overall this is worthy enthusiasm and honest sweat-pouring.
