Hopesfall – The Satellite Years – Review

Hopesfall

The Satellite Years (Trustkill)
by Adrian Bromley

There are a lot of bands out there in the hardcore scene trying to cash in on someone else’s sound/style, but there are only a few bands willing to go that extra mile and take hardcore to a new level. One of those bands is North Carolina’s Hopesfall. The secret to Hopesfall’s success is their intricate styling and the creative melodic passages woven throughout each song. Singer Jay Forrest does a great job of controlling his vocals – from growls to melodies – a task many singers might’ve had problems with. Hopesfall are indeed one of the bands at the front of the pack, leading a new era of hardcore music.
