Aperitif For Destruction (Surfdog)
by Scott Hefflon

Lounge covers of G’N’R, Slipknot, U2, Metallica, Green Day, Jane’s Addiction, and more. Well done, the guy can really sing, and the playing is tight. If you don’t already have dozens of theme and tribute novelty CDs, pick this up and you and yer friends can crack up for hours. For what it is, it’s one of the best I’ve heard since the mid-’90s when there were a lot of these things all at the same time. Like a lot of things in life, ya don’t need a lot of any one thing, but ya gotta have a smattering to be a versatile human. A damn fine job, and recommended for anyone into music who doesn’t already have a lot of well-done parody albums.
