I like the name of the label better than the band. In an age of contracting everything, calling your label RIYL (“recommended if you like” in case you don’t read bios and go to a lot of poser websites) passes as clever. The Fugue is noisy, chaotic, probably likes The Jesus Lizard and themselves a whole bunch. From NYC, and tours with bands on Ace Fu, Tiger Style, Robotic Empire, Three-One-G, and 5RC are boasted. Not GSL? Just four “songs” of art noise here. The kinda stuff that struts and preens cuz it’s art, maaaan, and they like themselves enough for both of us, so I don’t feel bad not giving a shit about them.
