A Day To Remember
And Their Name Was Treason (Indianola)
By Scott Hefflon
Indianola knows how to piss off the purists. Hardcore roar and Saves The Day whining, both done well, challenging the listener to deal with tender, romantic scenes in their shoot-’em-up movies, car chases and explosions in their romantic movies. Imagine if a Happy Walters concept soundtrack (Spawn, Judgment Night, etc.) teamed up Hatebreed and New Found Glory and they worked well together. As long as nü metalcore has clean singing parts, why not push the envelope as far as A Day To Remember have, just to see the looks on people’s faces?
