There’s No Power Without Control (SOS)
by Scott Hefflon

Conflict have been around since the 1980s, and they sound it. They’re as reliable as government corruption. Animal rights/anarchy punk has been around for decades, and Conflict have been slogging in the trenches the whole time. You could say they’re at the forefront of the genre, but forefront means there’s an established hierarchy, and that’s not especially anarchistic, now is it? They’ve always been there, them and Crass and Icons of Filth. They never got much better, they never airbrushed their photos for the cover of Alternative Press, and they got a new album out that’s worth listening to from end to end unless you like Good Charlotte and Motion City Soundtrack and shit.
