Keep Your Heart (Fat)
by Scott Hefflon

Doesn’t take a genius to know this is a good one. Three piece, from Philly, ex-members of The Curse, Kid Dynamite, and Trial by Fire, produced by Brian McTernan (Thrice, Strike Anywhere, Hot Water Music, and tons more), and Fat got behind it, and if ya can’t trust Fat, who can ya trust? The Loved Ones play East Coast punk rock, pure of spirit like Bouncing Souls, but with more consistent songs. A little gruff, but not all gargled glass or hard-living street punk, so you know it’s a guy singing, not some little pussy emo whiner whose balls have yet to drop. Great songs that seem familiar, but never sounding like rip-offs, instantly energetic, and just plain good punk tunes you’ll sing along to and make a part of your life, getting ready to go out, or play loud on the way to shows. Good stuff.
