Seal The Deal (Get Hip)

Too bad Get Hip doesn’t promote their bands, because The Last Vegas are a rock’n’roll band people should know about. I’ve been playing this side by side with Bullets and Octane, Buckcherry, The Wildhearts, and The Toadies/Burden Brothers when in the mood for some swagger. Part ’70s hard rock with wet production (instead of crisp and dry, if ya get my meaning) and layered choruses and stoner riffery, part punkified glam (’70s glam more than hair metal) with way more wild-eyed bottle throwing than I remember… While no chorus or riff sticks to my gray matter days later, The Quill didn’t either, and Fu Manchu sometimes doesn’t, and those are records as records like this, albums you can play from end to end, not a catchy single and a bunch of shitty songs you have to keep skipping passed.
