Usually, I’m not at all inclined to enjoy British pop. Ever since those weenies started turning their amps up to 11, I have a terrible fear of grooving to the likes of that offensively catchy song about a sweater. (I know Cheezers not from the UK.) These Animal Men are closer to Carter U.S.M. than the rest of the wankers. They have infectiously dippy songs with upbeat tempos that might almost be pop-punk. Goofy little keyboard lines, frolicky lyrics about God-only-knows-or-cares-what, and chunky power chords to get your head a-swaying.
