At what point do you just give it up? When yer biggest claim to fame is that your bassist quit to join a better band, and then quit them and flopped at everything after that cuz he’d lost touch with reality (sad but true: Read the interview Martin Popoff politely sat through, as Newsted revealed he had no clue about underground metal in the slightest), where do you go from there? History: Doomsday for the Deceiver for Metal Blade in ’86 was a talked-about slab of potential, No Place for Disgrace was a major label arrival in ’88, then there were three albums for a different major (they’re interchangeable… Like majors have any identity or personality, ya know?) that I skipped and have never once missed, and then three more for Metal Blade, one or two of which I think I might’ve listened to once, and now they’re on Crash. I could probably get signed to Crash, and I’m not even in a band.

Is this new CD any good? I doubt it. It’s still playing in the background, and I’ve yet to be engaged in any way. It’s not so bad I’ll take it off (well, I’ve skipped over more than half of it), but it’s not good enough to ever put on intentionally. The cover was done by Travis Smith, who’s done great covers, and this one’s good too. Production is skimpy as hell though.
