I was going to almost out of hand say this wasn’t very good, make some comment about big rock fish in a small Portland pond, or some snide bullshit about Veronica Mars, and then I heard “All the Money or the Simple Life Honey” and it turned me right around. Then the next song was decent, and then I found myself really liking this. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about The Dandy Warhols that makes you just want to strangle them or gouge your eyes out when one of their members poses nude while eight months pregnant. If you can get past that, they really are making good records. I don’t care what Pitchfork says…
