Debut release from this Indiana band of brothers. A duo. “Dead Sailor” is noisy yet melodic, distant yet warm. Jesus and Mary Chain is an easy reference point. Played loudly, the calmness of the vocals becomes almost drone, but makes me pine for The Sheila Divine or Glasvegas’ fuzzy guitars (using more distortion) and strong, passionate vocals.
