Hot Water Music announces first headlining tour in eight years
The tour is set to run in January and February of 2013. La Dispute and The Menzingers have joined the bill to create a dynamic touring package, kicking off in Tampa, FL on January 16th at The Orpheum Theatre and ending in Seattle, WA on February 10th at Showbox.
It’ been a busy year for Hot Water Music. The band released their full-length studio album, Exister, in May which reached their highest charting position to date, at #33 on Billboard Top 200. Rolling Stone stated that “[Exister] finds the quartet returning to their roots in aggressive, emotionally volatile music.” SPIN magazine praised the album, “After an eight-year hiatus, the post-hardcore heroes didn’t outgrow anxiety, they gave it hooks.” Alternative Press proclaimed, “Exister serves as a reminder that the thousands of bands aping this style of punk will never be as great as Hot Water Music.” The band recently finished up their first-ever arena shows when they joined The Gaslight Anthem in support of Rise Against’s Fall tour, thus paving the way for this 2013 headline run.
Hot Water Music is Chuck Ragan (vocals, guitar), Chris Wollard (vocals, guitar), Jason Black (bass), and George Rebelo (drums). Exister was produced by Bill Stevenson and was released on May 15, 2012 on Rise Records.
