Title Fight prepares Spring Songs EP

Constantly morphing and shifting, TITLE FIGHT are just about to take the next step in their evolution as a band with the release of their new EP SPRING SONGS on November 12, 2013. Armed with a new label, Revelation Records, and four songs that are a progression from the last full-length Floral Green, Title Fight are pushing their boundaries once again and moving beyond their signature sound and expanding deeper into textures. Title Fight will embark on a Fall tour kicking off in Baltimore, MD on September 12th and wrap up in Patchogue, NY on October 13th.

“Growing up, Revelation not only defined what I thought it meant to be a hardcore kid, but their constant evolution continues to inspire me,” says bassist/vocalist Ned Russin about signing to the label. “As illustrated by the progression of bands like Gorilla Biscuits to Quicksand, I saw that you never need to be limited to any creative or artistic boundaries. I am ecstatic to be added to such an amazing roster of my favorite bands at Revelation.”

Always looking to present the fullest and richest musical experience even if it means bucking convention, Title Fight recorded and mixed Spring Songs completely analog to 2″ tape, bypassing digital technology altogether. With the returning assistance of Floral Green producer Will Yip (Circa Survive, Blacklisted, Cold World) who produced, engineered, mixed and mastered this set of tracks, Spring Songs has a warmth and depth that is largely absent from the production of their contemporaries. Kicking off with the unyielding “Blush” and launching into the fuzzy immediacy of “Be A Toy”, Spring Songs is gauzily reminiscent of hallmark labels such as SST and 4AD, keeping their hardcore and punk influences front and center without sacrificing their growth.
