The Shrine and Red Fang hit the road

Venice, CA ripping rockers The Shrine have announced worldwide tour dates in support of their celebrated sophomore LP Primitive Blast.  The red hot trio will team up with like-minded party jammers Red Fang for over 60 North American and European tour dates running well into 2014. The fun begins with the North American tour launch on November 30 in San Francisco, CA; from there, both bands will tear up stages across the continent through the holidays.  The European run will kick off in mid-January and run all the way through April (see below for dates and cities).

VICE’s Noisey has just premiered The Shrine’s bitchin’ new music video for the Primitive Blast standout “Wasted Prayer”.  Shot and edited by Olivia Jaffe for Eliminator Productions, the clip has the “look and feel of an ’80’s public access TV show.”

“After spending the summer at home in Venice jamming and skating pools were ready to pile our full stacks and road rats back in the van and cruise the USA alongside Red Fang,” comments The Shrine vocalist and six string ripper Josh Landau. “If you see a smoking, dented Econoline van on the side of America’s endless highway filled with retards messing around with snow chains, give your brothers a hand. We’ve got a ton of new sticky jams and a ton of new sick merch that’s gonna shred yer socks off.”

The Shrine’s Primitive Blast has met to rave review since its release, being called “collision of ’70s headiness and ’80s hardcore angst” by the LA Weekly.  SPIN says The Shrine are “Shit-kicking SoCal pool-skaters (that) bridge Black Flag and Sabbath via Cro-Mag hooks and high energy sludge” and the band was spotlighted as part of the Converse x Decibel series “talking rock and skateboarding” as they turn “found space and hideous architecture into skate heaven.  The Primitive Blast LP has just been reissued as a limited run of 500 on “rippin’ RED” vinyl.

“The Shrine are California through and through, embodying both the stoner grooves and the thrashy skate punk of the area in the 80s and 90s.” – BROOKLYN VEGAN
