In Solitude – Sister – Review

In Solitude

Sister (Metal Blade Records)
by Mike Delano

I kinda called it, but then again, so did every other metal fan with half a brain. That would be Decibel‘s top two extreme albums of 2013: The mighty (and mightily reinvigorated) Carcass in the top spot, with Sweden’s In Solitude coming in a close second. Sister is an incredible step forward for these up-and-comers, and they already had their traditional, Mercyful Fate-inspired heavy metal down pretty cold on their last album. The first five seconds of the title track will tell you everything you need to know: This is an instant classic.
