C/Z Records Launches Website for Rare and Out of Print Albums

Legendary independent Seattle label, C/Z Records, announce that they have launched their first-ever label e-commerce site, the C/Z Records Shop for rare and long out-of-print releases beginning with the label’s launch in 1985.

Fans of legendary bands such as Soundgarden, Built to Spill, Nirvana, 7 Year Bitch, Hammerbox, Coffin Break, Engine Kid, Treepeople, and tons more can now purchase original catalog titles on 7” and 12” vinyl, CD, cassette, and even VHS physical titles for the first time in years or even decades. Included are CDs and vinyl at turn-of-the-century prices, a bunch of major “nice-price” bargain deals, as well as some hard-to-find collectibles at — yes — collectible prices.

“It’s funny that I’ve worked professionally in web development and e-commerce integration for so many years, and somehow never extended this skillset to my own czrecords.com website. That’s now changed!” said C/Z Records President, Daniel House. “I have a garage full of inventory, and prior to making it available online, it’s been hard to find. I’m so psyched to finally provide the opportunity for fans to access that inventory, and most of it is on sale at super low prices. I’d much rather get the music out there instead of collecting dust.”

Not everything is old catalog however. Recent releases include the limited edition Skin Yard Select 7×7 box set from Seattle proto-grunge pioneers, Skin Yard, and the remarkable lost 1984 recordings from 10 Minute Warning, perhaps the earliest band in the Seattle “grunge” history that became an international phenomenon. Included are a number of CD bundles, where shoppers can get deals at an ever more reduced price. Depending on the release, quantities are limited. No new re-pressings are currently planned, so once stock sells out, it will be gone forever.

Just some of the titles for sale in the catalog include:
*Treepeople (featuring Doug Martsch before Built to Spill)
*BOTH of the Teriyaki Asthma collection CDs including Nirvana, Love Battery, Superchunk, L7, Babes in Toyland, Alice Donut, Poster Children, Unrest, and Ween.
*7 Year Bitch’s Sick ‘Em, the incendiary all-woman Seattle punk band who graced us with songs like “You Small Lonely” and “Dead Men Don’t Rape.”
*Gerald Collier’s debut solo album – I Had To Laugh Like Hell from Seattle’s Best Kissers in the World frontman.
*Very limited quantities of the Built to Spill on Cassette and Gatefold Vinyl.
*Limited quantities of the original pressing of the debut CD from Hammerbox.
*The Tone Dogs featuring multi-instrumentalist Amy Denio and Matt Cameron (from Soundgarden and Pearl Jam) on drums.
