I’m not sure if this counts as meta, but The Cle Elum has released the cleverly titled “Guided by Guided by Voices.” The single is poppy and punky, with singer Ian Lee recalling Kody Templeman of Teenage Bottlerocket. Sarah Sargent’s drums are tasty as well. I don’t know that the song favors the band in question though, I guess that’s for you to decide. But the line “Now I got too many choices” will ring a bell for fans of the awfully prolific GBV. The track’s chorus becomes an ear worm if you listen to the tune a few times over a short spate of days. I wonder what Bob would say. Ah, it’s all a game of pricks, anyway.
