J Mascis is in fine laconic voice on single “Several Got Away,” a garagey, poppy, rocking tune, heralding the release of Dinosaur Jr.’s 13th album, There Near, on August 28. He’s also ripping on his Jazzmaster, showing you why he’s considered an indie rock guitar God. Murph’s busy, loud drums help drive the tune.
