Singer/lyricist Rosie has a lazy, Speakeasy kinda voice reminiscent of Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier. I’m reminded of I Dream of Genie when I listen to this.
Ghostly texture augmented by the enthusiastic, very tribal drumming of Brian Noel. Bassist Tim Taylor grounds singer/guitarist Olivia Block’s silky whisper.
Thicket strays even further into Floydian territory and is soothing and groovable because of it. Good zoning-out rock, but kinda unremarkable otherwise.
