Satchel – EDC – Review May 1, 1995 The majority of this album is Seattle groove rock reduced to its most dull denominator.
Push Kings – Slow Down, This is Not Monte Carlo – Review May 1, 1995 You can file this one night next to your old Pavement, Sebadoh, and Swirlies singles. Keeping stoner lo-fi honest and alive.
Prickly – “Fancy Party Hairdo” – Review May 1, 1995 Sweet, sleepy pop with pretty female vocals and catchy, yet forgetable songs. Beautiful artwork.
Planet Jumper – “Tasty One” – Review May 1, 1995 The re-named Plush returns with a new name and new songs. Both song show Sarah Reitkopp’s great Heartish vocals and the band’s chemistry.
PJ Harvey – To Bring You My Love – Review May 1, 1995 To Bring You My Love has a less noisy, more accessible feel than the previous three albums, but her attitude is, if anything, more caustic than ever.
Pie – Superhorse – Review May 1, 1995 Noisy and totally wacked, these guys are great! They cram more screaming feedback and punky guitar slop into the record grooves than you’d think possible.
Pet UFO – My Name is Esther Cohen – Review May 1, 1995 A constant motormouth of distorted guitars and Souci Broskowitz’s hurt/pissed-off vocals make Pet UFO one of my personal favorites.
Pet UFO – “Pigeon Heaven” – Review May 1, 1995 Both songs show Souci’s great lyrical skill by hitting you right where it hurts. Loud, girl punk with great lyrics and a lot of heart.
Pell Mell – Interstate – Review May 1, 1995 This instrumental collection moodily shifts from one focus to another as effortlessly as clouds drift across a brilliant blue sky.
Motherless Children – Review May 1, 1995 One of the best drawing bands from the Lowell area. Energetic and well-crafted rock songs with good lyrics and catchy melodies.
