Eleven – with Tad, Soundgarden at Wallace Civic Center – Review August 1, 1994 Alan Johannes, along with former Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Jack Irons and keyboardist Natasha Shneider, create a sound that is hard to describe.
Buffalo Tom – with Gigolo Aunts, Lemonheads at Great Woods – Review August 1, 1994 Bill Janovitz was everywhere and the songs rang large. This was a sincere and unpretentious performance.
Alice Donut – at The Middle East Cafe – Review August 1, 1994 The trombone lead in “War Pigs” in itself was worth the price of admission.

Weezer – Review August 1, 1994 Singer Rivers Cuomo, gives the songs low-key humor and occasionally, full-blown personality. Unfortunately, the production doesn’t do them justice.

The Reverend Horton Heat – Liquor in the Front – Review August 1, 1994 This is the Rev’s second release from those vile sinners at Sub Pop and he continues his dastardly ways with such upbeat, twangy guitar songs.
The Figgs – Low-Fi at Society High – Review August 1, 1994 The Figgs are quirky and literate and I would even go so far as to say clever. They seem to have grown up on stuff like Elvis Costello and The Clash.
