“Something Happened” is a moody, moving, quasi-psychedelic masterpiece. “All The Way to Riyadh” sounds a bit like the Smithereens with a slightly softer edge.
Take some of the more disconcerting beats of Gang of Four, add a little Melvins lurch and shiver, pour on liberal amounts of the Birthday Party, and watch out!
Punchy, post-punk heavy on the distortion. The Sons of Hercules sound like the Stooges, but with better production. It’s fast and in-yer-face, yet bouncy.
