An energetic band trying to bring new dimension to the well-traveled hardcore/metal route (with traces of Gothenburg in tow), but they fail on many levels.
The Cardigans’ vocalist Nina Persson released a solo album as A Camp in 2001. It has yet to be released Stateside, but the UK release isn’t hard to find.
The songs sound much more complete, like he spent time on every element. His writing style, doesn’t sound dated, no matter how reminiscent of his glory days.
Najwa Nimri shares Björk’s fondness for live strings, most of these songs featuring violin, viola, and cello. A superbly-produced electronic pop masterpiece.
Bad Man is raw like a wound scrubbed with steel wool, jagged like the neck snapped from a bottle of Thunderbird ESQ, and chock full of soul and attitude.
Explodes band-like, Michael Romeo measuring his attacks, Russell Allen the consummate vocalist. I’ve not heard better production/tones on a science rock album.
