Sex Offenders – Review

April 1, 2000

Nasty, chick-fronted gutter punk filled with violence, booze, drugs, theft, and destruction. While the vocalist Heather ain’t great, she ain’t bad.

Coalesce – Boy Sets Fire – Review

April 1, 2000

While Coalesce can make one-dimensional emo hardcore into blistering workouts of noise and texture, Boy Sets Fire can’t even cover material correctly.

Sentenced – Crimson – Review

April 1, 2000

Sentenced have found mournful ways to reconstitute sensibly-arranged power chord rock, even if they seem to make the same record over again.

Co-Ed – Pollen – Review

April 1, 2000

A great split between two very impressive bands. Co-ed is female-led, melodic rock that will probably win over Discount fans.
