The bassist is a funk madman accompanied by hip-hop beats and DJ scratches. The two guitarists duel like Maiden, chug like Metallica. All members sing/yell.
The singer had the presence of Anthony of the Chili Peppers and a signature rant/rap. Amazingly tight for a band so young, without a demo to their name.
The packed crowd bopped and smiled and bounced ’til I thought the floor would collapse. It took a verse to realize the song was “Heart of Glass.” Blondie. Cool.
Kustomized are seasoned veterans, so don’t expect them to have a “Boston sound” or a grunge image. Do prepare yourself for some primal, no-bullshit rock.
