As you light up another smoke, you hear NIN very faintly in the background and realize just how much it fuckin’ annoys you. This is the sound of Hellbent.
The industrial dub that these guys make is a welcome change from the glut of electro discs. It’s also very true that the Invisible sound is in full-effect.
If nothing else, ya gotta love Re-Constriction’s style. Though none of the bands here truly do justice to the songs they cover, it’s not for lack of effort.
A lot of good bands are on here, covering one of their favorite artists. You wouldn’t know they loved Bowie from this, though. These covers absolutely blow.
Originally released on IFA in 1995. Where Streets… was their ball of fury, these songs were some of their more soulful tunes, like their other early EPs.
