I fell asleep listening to this… Do I have to play it again? I do? Well, there was a reason for my slumber – this is not a good comp. A lot of good bands are on here (Mission UK, Alien Sex Fiend, Gene Loves Jezebel, Ex-Voto, Nosferatu, Christian Death, Big Electric Cat, Corpus Delicti, among other) and they all cover one of their favorite artists. You wouldn’t know they loved Bowie from this, though. These covers absolutely blow. As far as song selections go, I’m impressed. Great tunes like “Time,” “‘Heroes’,” “Scary Monsters,” and “Andy Warhol” are good choices, but the bands fail to add anything new or interesting to the tunes except their overwhelming Gothness. Avoid this.
