David Lynch enlisted the services of Trent Reznor to compile its soundtrack, in much the same way Rezzie put together the collage for Natural Born Killers.
Currently, MM is doing that industrial-metal thing that’s all the rage. That’s all fine and good. Sometimes it works. MM’s crack at the genre is average.
Things went downhill about halfway through the set, when the band followed Mr. Manson’s lead and left the stage. After the fourth time, it was getting old.
The man has an almost cult-leaderish quality about him – ice cold eyes and a patronizing manner towards the worshipers. His lyrics are crisp and harsh.
Korn merges rap and hardcore, a combo I’m not fond of. A very loud bass and faster, faster drums make good mosh music, but it’s not appropriate for my bedroom.
A fine comp of grunge, punk, and assorted music for the angry. There’s Soundgarden, Hole, Radiohead, Cop Shoot Cop, and Suicidal Tendencies, to name a few.
