Telling the story of a band as complex and long-lived as Voivod is no easy task. The band’s first DVD doesn’t even try, it just dump material into your lap.
At no point during the two-hour, interview-only documentary about the band does anyone realize we don’t need to know every obscure piece of information.
The writing is as funny as ever, the wisecracking announcer makes a welcome return, and the Deadzone hosts and main baddie, Gleeman Vox, get in plenty of gags.
