This is very different from Rival Schools’ debut record and Onelinedrawing’s regular material. The result is more offbeat than their own individual works.
19 artists, some local and some national, who have quite a knack for writing melodies that sometimes twist, sometimes turn, but are pop-oriented at the core.
Mostly acoustic, with unabashed winks to Cheap Trick and Sinead O’Conner, played with soul-touching integrity, but there’s no great impact on the listener.
