Warning! Murderdolls will be disrupting the safety and comfort of your festive holiday season this December by embarking on “Violent Night, Deadly Night tour.”
First, you induct Alice Cooper in the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame then direct your first major television commercial entitled “The Torturer,” for Woolite.
It really surprised many of us just how lifeless this is. It’s odd that Rob Zombie could suck this bad without doing it intentionally. The best tunes here have been done far better elsewhere, by Rob and his peers, and even his knock-offs.
A no-brainer here. Ramones covered by big stars, CD cover by Rob Zombie, liner notes by Steven King. Most of the covers are pretty lame, but what do you expect?
Boring. Maybe this is for trudging through the mall, looking cool and checking your cap, the paces slow enough so your pants won’t fall down around your ankles.
The Crow: Salvation is smart enough to offer rock as well as dark metal and electronic music. The gems are pretty easy to pick, as are the piles of dogshit.
With a score by Danny Elfman, and a lead-off track by Rob Zombie, you might expect this to be a more palatable version of Dee Snider’s Strangeland. It’s not.
