As one of the few buzz bands with any substance to justify the hype, T(I)NC leads the Scandal-navian invasion with their stylized mod garage punk.
Videos (often a few) from Rancid, Refused, Bad Religion, NOFX, Offspring, Pennywise, Millencolin, Bouncing Souls, T(I)NC, Hot Water Music, Descendents, Dropkick Murphys, Guttermouth, Division of Laura Lee, and Death By Stereo.
The one-sheet boasts “Artists include Rancid, Bad Religion, NOFX, and Pennywise,” a quick scan of bands shows an infiltration of hipster bands and garage rock.
Bands like this is are talking out both sides of their mouth, trying desperately to have their (revolutionary) cake and (ironically) eat it too.
The more struggle for equality, defying authority, speaking up against “the norm,” the better. And what better way to do it all than through music?
Epitaph keeps the bands they’ve got (minus one) and picks up wave after wave of the best young hopefuls, most of whom deserve it.
A lotta punk inspires me to smash jewel cases, not the state, so when I wanna relisten to/go-get-the-latest by some of these bands, that says a lot.
Dennis Lyxzen’s no-frills ’60s/’70s mod/garage rock band takes Small Faces, The Kinks, The Who, The Zombies, and The Make-Up and forms another mod rock band.
