The Vehicle Birth

at T.T. The Bear’s Place

The Vehicle Birth, freshly re-located from D.C., stumbled into 1312 Boylston St. looking for a rehearsal space and ran right into Curve of the Earth prez Alvan Long. “They met Josh (Elevator Drops) in D.C., and he told them they should come up to Boston,” Long tells us. Well, for a debut gig, the word seems to have gone out pretty fast. Just as the punk ravers were taking the stage, a surge of people started pouring through the door. Quietly humble in their dressing room, they were all raw energy and nerves when they took the stage. Bassist John broke a string immediately, continued to struggle through, broke another, and ran off for his spare as the boys continued. Next, he handed the bass to the vocalist, grabbed a sax and sat on the floor to play it. They were all fun teenage angst realized, and everyone enjoyed them as much as I did. Look for a 7″ to be released soon locally.
