With an almost astral take on the industrial/organic sound, Red Square Black have released Square (Zoo), a five song EP. The first tune, “Violent Pulse,” is reminiscent of Pink Floyd’s “Astronomy Domine,” and features John Lowery’s cranky guitar and Randy Castillo’s (formerly of Ozzy Osbourne) crashing drums. Audio clips and watery guitar tracks make this song one of the catchiest tunes I’ve heard in a while.
