The Cucumbers return with a cool slice of alternative pop called Where We Sleep Tonight (Zero Hour). The wife-and-husband team first attracted attention in the late ’80s on Priority, but are now utilizing Deena’s sugary vocals and icy clarity to voice a darker depth. While the tunes bubble with perky tempos, there is something ominous lurking in that pretty voice of hers.
