Wargasm

Last month, we lost two Bostonian heroes on the heavy front. Wargasm played their last shows at the Rat, and Erich from Stompbox bailed, so the bassist is filling his slot as vocalist. Wargasm has been a success story for suburban metal bands: A die-hard local following, consistently heavy albums on Massacre Records, and a video on Headbangers Ball (of course, that’s gone now, too). Stompbox was on Sony, for chrissake. If that ain’t a sign of legitimizing a scene… Oh well, we can always listen to Letters to Cleo and the new slew of Boston alternapop that’s getting inspired. Yippee.
