This is either a thought-provoking metal album, or a what-the-fuck record. I still haven’t decided. Evidently, it’s one of the first signees for the new A&R rep. Release is from the Bay Area (ooh, a domestic release) and I have no idea what to call them. They have Voi Vodian guitars, throaty metal-guy vocals, monks chanting, noises fading in and out, throbbing, chugging, driving beats, and everything in the metal handbook except the kitchen sink. Scratch that, there it is.
