If you didn’t know this was Gwar in police uniforms, you missed the joke. Parody-core that’s brutal, heavy, fast and addictive. Give credit where it’s due: they write and produce larger-than-life metal littered with gunshots, sirens, and phone conversations, and they do it well. The cheesed-out “Highway Star” is better than many serious versions I’ve heard, but give me the ruthless “Cavity Search” (figuratively) or slammin’ motherfucker, “Your Mother,” any day.
