Eric Anderson – Ghosts Upon the Road – Review

Eric Anderson

Ghosts Upon the Road (Plump)
by Valerie Smith

Eric’s voice is simple – no frills, raw masculinity with a hint of an accent. Words sometimes spoken, other times sung in full baritone. His song/stories reflect his travels throughout Europe and the U.S. and could be read alone as poetry. But the point is, he’s actually singing about something and has his own sound! Unfortunately, the audience of this decade has perpetuated the trend of sound-alike bands, and with that in place, I fear that if this, or any other unique CD, finds any degree of success, we can expect 20 sound-alike bands within a year.
