You don’t see too may real “fanzines” anymore. Crossfire is a ‘zine devoted to one band, Electrafixion, and run by one person, Chris Adams. That’s a fanzine. While Chris is a fantastic freelance writer (for Lollipop, among others) , he takes the director’s chair for this one, and compiles others’ writing and reviews. The ‘zine is, therefore, well-written and focused. Electrafixion, in case you’re unfamiliar with the name, is the reunion of Echo and the Bunnymen’s Ian McCullogh and Will Sargeant, and despite credentials, is a relatively unknown band. Thus, the inspiration to put out a ‘zine exclusively on the band. It combines original and reprinted reviews, photos, and an assortment of knick-knacks.
