As it becomes harder to distinguish good indie/altern/power pop from filler, you’ve got to grasp at intangibles or trust the vibe. While Epperley doesn’t open new doors of perception for this listener, half the songs ooze through a relaxed Valium groove, while the other half cranks up the distortion for some happy pogoing and head bopping. Epperley has a bright future.
