N.O.T.A. – “Hell Hole” – Review

N.O.T.A.

“Hell Hole” (Unclean)
by Joshua Brown

The best mid-’80s Midwestern hardcore act are back after a long hiatus. They haven’t forgotten what made them one of the all-time greats of the genre, but judging from this release, they’re incapable of reproducing it, much less building on their own legacy. The speed is there, as are the manic, gruff vocals, but the seminal originality is gone. Smells like another cash-in on past glory.
