Under The Noise – Of Generation and Corruption – Review

Under The Noise

Of Generation and Corruption (Cop International)
by Lex Marburger

Under the Noise stretches its limbs and reaches beyond the monotonous bass drum pulse, goes further than metal guitars over mechanical beats, and surpasses the cliché of distorted vocals, even while embracing all of it. Of Generation and Corruption fits as easily in your room as the dance club, mixing uptempo grooves with a slow grind, and throwing in some moody ambience as well. They include intricate rhythms, saxophone, mandolin, and a gorgeous, soulful female voice. The songs are wonderfully crafted, alternately making your legs itch to dance and soothing your mind. This album will undoubtedly be a sleeper; it’s escaping an incestuous genre and won’t be understood for a while.
