Fizz – #6 – Review

Fizz

Fizz is one of the few ‘zines I actually read cover to cover. Their regular columns/features offer a varied multitude of witty and wacky information. “Drinkers Digest” offers funny bar stories, “Drunk of the Month” profiles inebriated readers’ most embarrassing and hilarious moments while under the influence, and “Lipstick Liner Notes” offers beauty tips (in this issue they feature two “plain-Jane” make-overs). Penny-pinchers will enjoy the restaurants profiled in “Cheap Grub.” “Petting Zoo” features a different celebrity pet in every issue (this month, L7’s Donita Sparks offers us insight on her pet pooch Bam Bam). Readers are encouraged to write in and offer reasons why “My Town Rocks” and “My Town Blows.” From the regular columns to the interviews and reviews, the writing is done in a fun and unique style that will keep you interested, regardless of subject matter. With a cover price of $2.95 and 142 pages, this is one of the best buys on the newsstand.
