Life After Life – “Harrahya” / “Doors” – Review

Life After Life

“Harrahya”/ “Doors” (Alternative Tentacles)
by Joshua Brown

Life After Life, with the “Harrahya/Doors” single, play jackhammer punk that’s better than most of the early 80’s stuff that we’re always frothing at the mouth about here, claiming that the punk rock community has undergone an insidious mass amnesia of sorts, where no one remembers how to be as good as they or their heroes used to be. It must have missed Life After Life. They sound like a chanting Cossack army, issuing an honest-to-goodness war cry, and using an accordion to show that they mean business. Doesn’t sound menacing? It is, believe me, not to mention fun as fuck to listen to.
