Y&T – Musically Incorrect – Review

Y&T

Musically Incorrect (Fuel)
by Chaz Thorndike

Twenty years after their first release on London Records, Y&T regroups to put out another mediocre rock record. No “Summertime Girls” frolicking around, no “Mean Streak” guitar-god lines, just a bunch of failed attempts at tackling the meaning of life and playing uninspiring mid-tempo rock as if the early ’90s never happened. I’d love to have a rock resurgence by the millennium, but ignorable and outdated records like this are far from a Renaissance. They call it “No Frills, straight-ahead rock,” but it’s just plain dull.
