This is exactly the kind of magazine we like to see come through the office. No, it’s not The Snake Handler’s Journal of Favorite Ice Creams Quarterly, but I’m sure we could find something like that inside Implosion‘s pages. Interviews with The Electric Hellfire Club, Genitorturers and “Weird Al” Yankovic, a trip to Dracula’s castle, video reviews of everything from Bill Plympton to Annabel Chong’s 251-man gang bang, a trip to Japan to worship a giant dick (no, really!), and an interview with a Mormon woman who shares her husband with six other wives, are there for your amused perusal. But what really sets Implosion apart from the chaff is the fiction. The “Bizarre and Eccentric” part of their title really comes through here. From an insomniac and a $5 blowjob from somebody’s mother, to serial killing, to white trash piss Elvis’, to child molesters, to walking corpses as art. The most freaky, however, is only 98 words long, and involves children and a handgun. I’m not telling. Read it yourself.
