Along the lines of Attrition, Amber Asylum are going the Gothic Classical route, with Kris Force’s soprano graced by lulling strings and shimmering washes of cymbals. Emotional progressions and a strong use of dynamics make this a soothing listen in the pale moonlight (I had to throw that in there. It’s in my contract).
